GLASGOW EVENTS

The main festivals and Glasgow events are the Celtic Connections, the Jazz Festival, West End Festival, Merchant City Festival, Southside Festival, Pride Glasgow, and the city will also host the annual World Pipe Band Championships, a pipe band competition in Scotland. Glasgow events take place throughout the entire year.

                       

Celtic Connections takes place in January and it’s a three-week-long Celtic music festival. It is now one of the world’s most influential music festivals. The Glasgow International Jazz Festival is held in June. The main open-air stage is located in George Square. During this time, many restaurants, bars, and hotels also feature artists. The West End Festival has a wide range of events and activities. There is live music, comedy, drama, guided walks, events for children, and local street celebrations. There is also the Street Party and Carnival Parade. The Merchant City Festival attracts more than 55,000 people and focuses on Scotland’s music, visual arts, film, fashion, and food scene.
